Liturgical Resources |
The church of the future will be inclusive, liberating, pluralistic and inculturated. I am drafting model liturgical resources for such a church. These include re-visioned lectionary readings, baptism, mystagogy and baptismal renewal, eucharist, morning and evening prayer and marriage.
In addition I am exploring new liturgical needs and opportunities. Some such liturgies would be for the use of households or other small groups, or for particular occasions. At present these include liturgies of lament, the blessing of households, a rite for protection against violence, and a liturgical approach to engagement and formation for marriage. Work has begun on liturgies of anointing with perfumed oil, footwashing, daily prayers of blessing and thanksgiving, and others.
